AJ Glassfibre was founded in 1999 by Andrew Mallinson and John Irving who between them
have over 80 years of experience in the industry. They started off their venture at
Grangefield Mills in Pudsey but soon outgrew the facilities, later re-locating to Castleford
where the business has continued to flourish across 2 manufacturing sites.

Honest values and a strong work ethic was a key contributor to their success, and these
values still remain at the heart of AJ glassfibre.

John retired in 2014 and in 2022 Andrew also took a back foot leaving his two children
Oliver and Katie to run the day-to-day business. Having both worked their way up from the
shop floor at a young age, both have the drive and knowledge to uphold the family
values AJ Glassfibre pride themselves on. Between the 3 of them, they have extensive
knowledge and experience of the industry and as a family-run company the personal service
is second to none.
